SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) Malaria project is a multi-institution multi-disciplinary project involving JICA, the County Government of Homa Bay, Mount Kenya University, Otaro University and Nagasaki University with the aim of eliminating malaria in Homa Bay county, especially along the lake regions. • Successfully mobilized community members to enhance engagement in the study. • Conducted and administered questionnaire accordingly in the language the respondents understand. • Collected data from participants’ response using the mobile survey applications used for the study (RedCap, CsEntry applications). • Increased participants’ awareness on malaria prevention methods, thus reducing malaria cases upon conducting baseline test. • Engaged respondents professionally to obtain their consent. • Maintained data confidentiality, and met the set daily targets. • Worked independently and as a team, increasing participant outreach by 75%.

Compassion International is a Christian holistic child and youth development organization that works to release children from poverty. The organization partners with the church to lift children and youth out of economic, physical, spiritual and social poverty. • Conducted home visits on children and caregivers’ welfare using paper-based questionnaire. • Assisted in data entry, data organization and prepared PDF payments using Microsoft Excel. • Tutored children, youths, and parents on computer packages. • Conducted school visits for fee payments. • Assisted in maintaining office cleanliness. • Received and assisted guests where appropriate. • Maintained professionalism within the office setting, and among community members.

JKUATES (Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Enterprises’) aim was to study the Effect of Drone Technology in Improving Health Care Outcomes in Homabay County. • Successfully mobilized participants on the subject of study. • Administered questionnaire and collected data from respondents using KoBoCollect as the survey application. • Maintained data integrity and confidentiality.
