About

I am a multi-disciplinary systems designer with 18 years of design practice and 14 years of dedicated product focus, currently working as an IC at Fortune Brands Innovation Labs. My experience spans advanced HMI architecture, AI research in language and computer vision, and human-computer interaction for Linux-based QML/Qt, interactive Rive state machines, native OS, and React Native. My work includes leading end-to-end systems architecture and product design execution for embedded HMI, mobile apps, and predictive ML layers. I have developed custom engineering workflows integrating Figma with Qt Design Studio, built interactive Rive state machines for hardware control, and designed multi-platform frameworks for AI-driven device notifications. I have partnered with Meta AI research scientists to launch foundational models and public demos, contributing to projects like CICERO, NLLB, and Segment Anything using React Native, computer vision, and language translation technologies.

What I'm looking for

Seeking collaboration with strategic software design and architecture teams in specific industry spaces such as, Aerospace, AI Research, Automotive, Robotics, and Defense industries.

Led end-to-end systems architecture to multi-product design execution spanning physical embedded HMI, mobile apps, and predictive ML layers. Smart Shower HMI & Architecture Strategy (Moen & House of Rohl). Led the foundational user research (UXR), interaction architecture, and system strategy map for next-generation digital smart shower and spa ecosystems (Codenames: Atlas & Apollo). Developed a custom engineering workflow bridging Figma directly into Qt Design Studio to map multi-brand user flows against strict hardware constraints. Designed scalable state mechanics and validation matrices supporting 2 to 8 physical valves, and established the baseline BLE provisioning framework adopted across the global product division. Shutoff Control, Flo’s primary function. Tested 104 concepts across 300+ users to uncover insights that deliver system truth. Key is to match user’s mental model to the state of home and device. Built interactive Rive state machines to handle hardware Solenoid Valve (SOV) shutoff controls. Documented and accounted for all logical states, inputs, and deep layer interactions to ensure flawless physical-to-digital execution in fluid dynamics. Predictive AI, Retention & North Star Vision. Spearheaded the long-term North Star product vision for the next-generation Moen Flo v2 ecosystem. Led the product design architecture for "The Lazarus Project," engineering system-level UX workflows and re-engagement. Reengineered the entire core device notification architecture, mapping the technical state mechanics between cloud backend ML models and real-time mobile touchpoints. Designed a unified, multi-platform framework across iOS/Android Live Activities, watch complications, and push systems to translate abstract ensemble ML model training cycles, background data noise tolerances, and predictive auto-shutoff capabilities into synchronized, highly legible user states that optimize consumer trust and system transparency during automated device shutdown events.

DevBridge Group

Nov 2012 – May 2013

While working for DevBridge Group, I've had the opportunity to architect and design experiences for a range of clients such as Microsoft and Monotype. Although Information Architecture wasn't my strongest point throughout the projects, it has always struck me with interest. It was made apparent that when it comes to less complex systems, wire frames and the architecture of a digital solution is more practical. As for user interface, I've grown with my design sense in apt to utilize whitespace and CSS3 conscious elements. Keeping things subtle, to the point and harnessing simplicity into a conglomerate of consistent design language.
