The Global Technical Enablement team at New Relic provides the planning, design, and expert delivery required to drive technical excellence across our customers. The Technical Training Specialist for India is a highly strategic role responsible for owning the technical readiness and maturity of our external customers and partners.

Operating as a critical resource for the region, you will be 100% dedicated to delivering high-impact, Outcome-Driven Enablement (ODE) directly to strategic customers and partners. As the regional face of our technical education, you will act as the tip of the spear for driving platform adoption, delivering formal certifications, and ensuring that our customers and partners achieve deep technical mastery to realize the full business value of New Relic.

What you’ll do

  • Execute External Outcome-Driven Enablement: Deliver bespoke, high-value technical training and on-site workshops directly to strategic customers and partners in the India region.
  • Lead Certification Programs: Serve as the primary instructor and authority for New Relic's formal certification programs in the region. Deliver high-stakes certification training bootcamps and actively proctor certification exams to ensure strict technical standards and partner ecosystem readiness are maintained.
  • Align Training with GTM Priorities: Ensure all external training, partner bootcamps, and certification initiatives are tightly aligned with regional Go-To-Market strategies and broad organizational business priorities.
  • Translate the Product Roadmap: Act as the critical bridge between the Product organization and our customers. Absorb upstream product roadmaps and technical messaging, translating them into scalable, hands-on learning assets and labs for the region.
  • Design Scalable Technical Curricula: Build and maintain high-quality technical content, exam preps, and sandboxes that can be leveraged regionally and globally.
  • Drive Customer Expansion: Establish metrics to measure the impact of technical enablement and certifications on customer stickiness, platform adoption, and consumption growth.
  • Leverage AI for Enablement Scale: Utilize emerging GenAI technologies and coding assistants (e.g., Gemini and Claude Code) to accelerate the development of technical curricula, automate lab environment creation, and maximize overall team productivity.

Required Skills

  • Extensive Regional Travel (Up to 75%): Highly mobile and willing to travel extensively across India up to 75% of the time to deliver in-person customer workshops, partner bootcamps, and on-site certification proctoring.
  • Deep Technical Acumen: Expert-level understanding of the Observability market, modern infrastructure (Kubernetes, Cloud), and application development environments (Java, .NET, Node, Python). Ability to hold your own with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and elite Customer Architects.
  • Facilitation and Coaching: Elite presentation and facilitation skills. Proven experience delivering highly technical, interactive workshops and formal certification courses to external enterprise customers.
  • Content & Lab Development: Expertise in designing hands-on, scenario-based technical training, sandboxes (e.g., Instruqt), and architectural blueprints.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Ability to seamlessly navigate upstream (Product/PMM) and synthesize complex technical concepts into consumable training for customers.
  • Experience in SaaS/Tech: 5+ years of experience in technical enablement, pre-sales (SC/SE), technical account management, or technical training within the SaaS/Cloud tech industry.

Bonus Skills

  • Value Engineering: Experience translating deep technical metrics (telemetry) into executive-level business value and ROI.
  • Practitioner Background: Previous experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE.
  • Certifications: Active certifications in major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or modern infrastructure frameworks (Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Adaptability: Skilled at prioritizing tasks, managing complex travel schedules, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
