About The Role

Agility Robotics is pioneering the humanoid robotics segment, developing systems that bridge advanced AI, hardware, and real-world deployment at scale. As the company accelerates toward commercialization of its next-generation humanoid platforms, the Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development plays a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering the company’s most high-impact strategic programs.

Reporting directly to the CBO, this role leads a small, high-caliber team responsible for driving alignment, strategic acceleration, and enterprise-level value creation and directly engages with the Executive Leadership Team in a meaningful way.

The VP, Strategy & Corporate Development functions as a strategic accelerator, a highly focused, agile executive translating strategy into measurable outcomes that position Agility Robotics as the clear leader in humanoid robotics.

Purpose of Strategy & Corporate Development

To ensure Agility Robotics maintains strategic focus, executional speed, and disciplined alignment across the initiatives that most directly determine leadership in the humanoid robotics category.

About The Work

Growth Focused Strategic Programs

  • Own a portfolio of strategic programs that enable Agility’s humanoid leadership focused on sustainable growth.
  • Strategic pathway identification to support and drive Agility’s growth ambition and valuation performance.
  • Drive executional discipline, risk mitigation, and milestone delivery across strategic programs under the Chief Business Officer.

Business Development & Corporate Development

  • Lead strategic identification and evaluation of potential M&A and partnership opportunities aligned with Agility’s roadmap, particularly in areas of AI, safety, and humanoid platform technologies for integration, and commercial acceleration.
  • Drive due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning for targeted opportunities that accelerate market position or technological advantage.
  • Support investor and Board engagement with analysis and recommendations tied to growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain an external network of partners to accelerate product adoption and category leadership.

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Lead CBO-sponsored initiatives that drive organic and inorganic growth, including new market activations, geographic expansion, and industry adjacency explorations.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, validate, and operationalize new channels of value creation.
  • Partner with Product organization to support strategy development for key verticals, including logistics, manufacturing, automotive, defense, and others, ensuring Agility’s humanoid platform aligns with the highest-value use cases.
  • Evaluate and design partnership frameworks that extend beyond commercial contracts, like ecosystem integration and platform standardization.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Directly engage with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on a regular basis to ensure initiatives remain on track, ensuring visibility and accountability.
  • Drive OKR alignment and provide visibility across the ELT to support and drive achievement.
  • Foster a culture of analytical rigor, high-bar output, and rapid thinking within the team.
  • Establish operating cadence, program reviews, and executive reporting frameworks in partnership with the ELT.
  • Partner across the ELT to support enterprise problem solving, prioritization, and alignment on strategic imperatives.
  • Leads cross functional teams across org-wide employee meetings and cadences to ensure the entire organization is advised on the company’s progress against OKRs, educated on initiatives within the company, and informed on the latest cross-functional updates.

About You

  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, corporate development, or program leadership within emerging technology, robotics, or high-growth sectors.
  • Top-tier MBA or Engineering Degree.
  • Prior experience at a top-three management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG), ideally with exposure to technology and industrial clients.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive-level accountability.
  • Deep strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with the ability to navigate high-stakes corporate development and investor discussions.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and leadership skills capable of influencing at Board and C-suite levels.
  • Experience working in or advising robotics, automation, or complex hardware-software systems preferred.

Success Metrics

  • Deliver clear, data-backed strategic pathways that unify market opportunity, product direction, and commercial strategy to accelerate decision-making.
  • Build and advance a prioritized pipeline of strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities that strengthen Agility’s competitive moat and long-term valuation.
  • Define and operationalize strategic growth initiatives, including vertical pathways, new markets, and adjacencies that expand Agility’s TAM capture.
  • Establish ecosystem-level frameworks and partnerships that deepen platform integration, enhance partner adoption, and reinforce Agility’s position in the humanoid category.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and cohesion across Commercial, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance through strategic alignment and prioritization mechanisms.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team that delivers high-quality analysis, structured outputs, and measurable acceleration for initiatives.

Location

  • This is a fully remote role with the option to work hybrid if a commutable distance from our Salem, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Fremont, CA offices.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range may change based on geographical location and may be modified in the future.
