We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Junior Legal Associate to join a fast growing fintech in Latam on a 3-month fixed-term contract, providing essential legal support across our operating markets: Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Brazil. This is a high-ownership role for someone who moves fast, communicates clearly, and is comfortable navigating legal matters across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, and partnership agreements across the company's markets
Support the structuring and documentation of commercial relationships with partners and platforms
Maintain and organize the contract repository, ensuring accuracy and version control
Assist with corporate governance documentation across the company's legal entities in the region
Support entity maintenance tasks including board minutes, resolutions, and regulatory filings
Help ensure the company's corporate structure remains compliant and well-documented across jurisdictions
Provide legal review for product initiatives, including UX/UI flows, terms and conditions, and user-facing documentation
Draft and update internal policies in line with regulatory requirements and business needs
Partner with the product and compliance teams to ensure legal alignment on new features and market launches
Assist with KYC processes, transaction monitoring frameworks, and ABAC (Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption) policies
Support risk assessments and help prepare documentation for internal and external audits
Contribute to building scalable compliance processes as the business expands across markets
Serve as a key legal resource for local teams in Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Brazil
Identify and flag jurisdiction-specific legal considerations that affect the company's operations or product roadmap
Help standardize legal processes and templates for consistent application across markets
Who You Are
1–2 years of legal experience, with in-house experience strongly preferred (law firm background with relevant fintech or financial services exposure also considered)
Law degree from an accredited institution; admitted to practice in Colombia, Chile or another market such as (Peru, Mexico or Brazil)
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish languages is required - you will work across English and Spanish-speaking stakeholders daily. Portuguese language is not required, but can be an advantage
Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions without deep local expertise in every one - you know how to ask the right questions and escalate when needed
Strong drafting skills - clear, concise, and precise in both languages
Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to manage multiple open matters simultaneously without dropping the ball
High-ownership mindset - you take initiative, flag problems early, and follow through
Genuine interest in fintech, financial inclusion, and the Latin American startup ecosystem
