The Asset and Configuration Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the accuracy and maintenance of CT’s asset and configuration data. Working closely with the Service Management team, you’ll help ensure asset and configuration records are kept up to date, data discrepancies are identified and followed up and information remains reliable for reporting, audits and operational service delivery.
NV1 Clearance is required for this role.
Requirements
What you'll do:
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration records across CT systems through consistent data entry and regular updates.
- Support full asset lifecycle management, including assignment, return, maintenance, disposal and retirement activities.
- Update and maintain CMDB records, ensuring configuration items (CIs), relationships, locations and status details are accurate and current.
- Proactively identify and resolve missing, incomplete or inconsistent asset and configuration data to improve overall data quality.
- Work closely with technical teams, service desk, project teams and service management stakeholders to validate asset and configuration information.
- Ensure all changes to assets and configuration items are properly documented and reflected in relevant systems.
- Assist in conducting audits of asset and configuration data, supporting compliance requirements and evidence gathering.
- Compile reports on asset and configuration data quality, tracking discrepancies, remediation actions and outstanding updates.
- Support audit requests by sourcing and validating relevant asset and configuration information in a timely manner.
- Act as a first point of contact for basic asset and configuration queries across teams.
- Escalate risks, issues or data quality concerns to appropriate stakeholders when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and efficiency across asset and configuration management activities.
- Support updates to documentation, templates and work instructions to ensure processes remain clear and effective.
What you'll bring:
- Experience or strong interest in IT Service Management, preferably within an ITIL-aligned environment.
- ITIL Foundation certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
- Previous experience in Asset Management, Configuration Management, CMDB administration or similar is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong data entry, data quality, record management and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and follow up as required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage repetitive, detail-focused tasks accurately.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A practical process mindset, with an interest in improving how things work over time.
- Confidence using ITSM tools, asset registers, spreadsheets, or similar systems.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within Asset, Configuration and broader IT Service Management practices.
