About the Role:

Thumbtack is building new experiences to enable customers to seamlessly book home services and empower service professionals to grow their business with ease and confidence by securing the jobs they want. This role focuses on creating an exceptional booking solution for both customers and service professionals across the entire Thumbtack marketplace, catering to all types of home needs and services. You'll have the opportunity to shape industry-disrupting user experiences that step change how customers hire service professionals. As a Senior Product Manager on this team, you will lead product initiatives from inception through execution, collaborating closely with designers, engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional team members. This role requires considering both sides of the marketplace and developing products that serve all our users effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion user needs and prioritize key user and business opportunities to define your team's long-term vision and roadmap.
  • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success.
  • Lead product planning, goal setting, strategy, and execution in collaboration with engineering, design, and data science teams to bring impactful products to market.
  • Navigate the complexities and challenges of creating and iterating on new products to find product-market fit.
  • Make difficult trade-offs and decisions, balancing near-term and long-term goals and outcomes.
  • Communicate and represent the team's strategy to partners and senior leaders for alignment and prioritization.
  • Influence the strategies and roadmaps of other Product and Marketing teams, and coordinate with them to maximize global impact.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of launching impactful 0?'1 consumer mobile/web products that users love.
  • Exceptional user-centric thinking with strong user experience and product sense, able to empathize with users and craft excellent experiences.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills combined with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze and break down complex problems and prioritize the right user needs and business opportunities.
  • Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills, capable of considering multiple perspectives and driving alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for articulating customer problems precisely.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving business directions.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working in a marketplace business
  • Have mentored or managed other Product Managers
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment

For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $191,250 - $247,500. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $162,562.50 - $210,375. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
