We are Innovation Labs Limited, an ambitious early-stage venture studio in the tech space, founded by Niels Vugteveen (co-founder of Fundsup.co and Remote.io, with extensive experience in management and C-level positions at Rocket Internet companies).

At Innovation Labs, we're building multiple ventures, including Remote.io and finance-related products. Our goal is to integrate work and financial products into a unified platform for work, lifestyle, and finance.

Having bootstrapped all our efforts so far, we have gained traction and revenue and strongly believe we can grow without relying on excessive funding. Your Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can take full ownership of our tech stack and lead the technical development of our existing and new products. This role has the potential to evolve into a CTO / Co-Founder position, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of the company and leading additional ventures within Innovation Labs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own the Entire Tech Stack: Manage and improve the full tech stack, which is currently built on AWS. You'll be responsible for everything from infrastructure and back-end to front-end development.
• Lead Technical Development: Oversee the development of the Remote.io platform and new products, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability.
• Innovate and Build: Develop innovative, scalable, and high-performance solutions, keeping in mind the long-term vision for the product and the company.
• Optimize Tech Stack: Take full control of the current AWS infrastructure (including serverless apps with AWS Lambda, Edge computing with Cloudflare Workers, and PHP/Laravel backends), and implement improvements that support our growing user base.
• Drive Growth and Scalability: Build and scale infrastructure to support rapid growth, including database optimization, cloud management, and future integrations.
• Collaborate and Scale: Work closely with leadership to recruit and mentor developers, establish best practices, and set the technical direction as the company grows.

Your Qualifications:

• Extensive AWS Experience: Strong expertise in managing and optimizing the entire AWS stack, including AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) and PHP (Laravel), with a focus on clean, efficient code.
• Expertise in serverless architecture, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Proven ability to take ownership of the product and lead development from concept to execution.
• Excellent product intuition with the ability to build beautiful, usable software experiences.
• Resourceful, action-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM), and AI-driven technologies.

Compensation

At this stage, we are unable to offer a salary. However, equity options and profit-sharing are available, allowing you to directly benefit from the success of the company as we scale.
