• Owned backend for a designer–client marketplace — listings, profiles, lead routing, and in-app chat — with indexed MongoDB schemas and REST APIs serving daily production traffic. • Implemented JWT auth with role-based access for 3 user types (clients, designers, admins), centralizing permission checks in route middleware to close handler-level authorization gaps. • Built Socket. IO real-time chat — per-conversation rooms, delivery ACKs, multi-device delivery, and offline replay on reconnect — serving 150+ concurrent users. • Led monolith decomposition into independent Node.js services — defining service boundaries, designing API contracts, and standardizing cross-service auth to reduce deployment coupling.
